My name is Angel; I am from class 1, grade 5. Today I’m going to talk about low carbon lifestyle. What is low carbon life?
Low carbon life is to reduce carbon in the air. We know that when we burn something to make electricity, we make the air dirty and increase the carbon dioxide; when we drive cars, the carbon dioxide is also increased.
Because of the high-consumption and high-pollution economy, the population increases quickly and the global climate changes repeatedly. The resources that people rely on to survive become less and less. Those are having a bad effect on our health, making us unhealthy. Therefore, low carbon life is important to us.
As a student, we should develop good habits in our daily lives. We can select products with longer shift life when we shop. This can reduce waste and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Paper cups are made from cutting forests. We should try not to use them, or select the smaller ones when we do because trees can absorb carbon dioxide and reduce greenhouse gas. We should use efficient light bulbs and the lights should be turned off when not needed.We should not waste food, so that the machines do not need to produce more. In this way, energy and electricity can be saved.
In the future, we will study harder to find new and better ways to have a low carbon lifestyle, so everybody will live a wonderful low carbon life.

In my opinion， to protect environment， the government must take even moreconcrete measures。 First， it should let people fully realize the importance ofenvironmental protection through education。 Second， much more efforts should bemade to put the population planning policy into practice， because more peoplemeans more people means more pollution。 Finally， those who destroy theenvironment intentionally should be severely punished。 We should let them knowthat destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves。
目前环保还存在着许多问题。最严重的问题就是空气、水和土壤的严重污染。污染的空气对人类的健康十分有害。污染的水引起疼病，造成死亡。更有甚者，随着现代社会的迅速扩建，植被大大的减少。
为了保护环境，各国政府做了超多的工作。采用了立法措施控制大气污染，保护森林资源和海洋资源，制止任何环境污染。因此，在当今的环保中政府起着最重要的作用。
我的看法是，为了保护环境，政府应当采取更具体的措施。首先，应当透过教育的方法使人们充分謒到环境保护的重要性。第二，应更加努力把计划生育政策付诸实施，因为人口多就意味着污染严重。最后，要严惩那些故意破坏环境者。使他们破坏环境就是毁灭人类自我。

Each and every one of us is responsible for the greenhouse gases we emit in our daily actions and choices. Therefore, combating climate change is going to take the combined efforts of everyone on the planet.
The average household carbon footprint in China is 2.41 tons of carbon dioxide annually. That's enough to fill half an Olympic swimming pool.
Surprised? Well, here's how you can work to reduce it:
1.Get started by calculating your own carbon footprint. This will give you a starting point from which to begin monitoring your progress. You enter details such as what sort of apartment you live in, your personal energy use and travel habits.
2. Each week, choose one day when you don't eat meat. Meat uses up lots of energy because it takes a long time to produce. Animals produce methane, which is another dangerous greenhouse gas, when they burp and fart.
3. Only buy the amount of food you need and if there are leftovers, get creative. For instance, make them into a soup. Ask to take food home from restaurants if there's some left, but remember to take your own container to avoid using a disposable carton.

Classifying Rubbish , Improving Environment Good morning, respectablejudges, teachers. Today, standing here makes me feel really honored and excited.The title of my speech is Classifying Rubbish , Improving Environment.
Personally, rubbish has been a big headache in Beijing. As the year 20__ iscoming ,every citizen has realized Green Beijing and Green Olympics will bringthe far-reaching impact on Beijing and even all China . The scense of rubbishnearly everywhere has given all of us a really bad impression, and Im sure noneof us wish to show off the bad side of Beijing to athletes and journalists allover the world, for it would blemish the citys and even Chinas image and leave abad reputation. So we really have to work hard on Green Olympics.
Now, we are middle school students. We must improve the sense of protectingthe environment and make a contribution to Green Olympics .
In our life, a lot of rubbish , such as waste paper, plastic bottles,batteries and so on , is produced every day . After we learnt the passage MakeOur Environment More Beautiful , we found a lot of rubbish thrown into dustbinscould be recycled in fact during our discussion. So we thought it would bebetter if we could classify rubbish . we told our idea to our teacher and hesupported us very much . We became volunteers to classify rubbish . Firstly wegot three big boxes and put them in a corner of our classroom . One is for wastepaper , one for plastics and Coke cans and the other is for batteries . WithTeachers help ,soon all the students took part in the activity of classifyingrubbish .In a month , we collected three boxes of paper , a box of batteries anda box of plastics and Coke cans .We sold them for 28 yuan and bought some youngtrees with the money . We planted the trees around our school . We were allspoken highly of by our school principals. Now we keep on the job and are allproud of improving environment .
The world trusts Beijing .Beijing still has a lot to do to reach the levelthe world expects, but we have the confidence to make Beijing a Green City.Great changes are taking place, and not far in the future, Beijing will be thefocus of all worlds attention.
