Since the day I was born, I began to have a proud name—Chinese. Since the day I began to talk, the most beautiful sentence I’ve ever learnt has been “I love you, China!”
I love you, China, and I’m so proud of being a Chinese. I’m proud that I’ve got the beautiful yellow skin, black eyes and black hair. I’m also proud that I speak the most beautiful language in the world—Chinese.
I love you, China, for I can feel the deep love you give me every day, every minute. Last year, I got an opportunity to visit the United States of America. During my staying there, my father’s boss once invited my family to dinner. While at table, he looked at me and asked: “Little boy, how long have you been in America?” “About a month,” I answered, “How lucky you are!” he said, “If you were living in China, how could you learn such perfect English?” I smiled and told him proudly that all the students in China are able to learn English at school. I saw his surprised eyes and said to myself, “I’m proud of you, China. For you are offering us the best education.”

youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. this often existsin a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . nobody grows old merely by a number of years . we grow old by deserting our ideals.
years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul .worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .
whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being „s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what‟s next and the joy of the game of living . in the center of your heart and my heart there‟s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .
when the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

感谢你们在百忙之中抽时间来参与今晚的家长会和长期以来对学校、对我们班工作的大力支持和关心。
当家长拿到英语试卷的时候，有喜有忧，喜的是孩子考到了好成果，忧的是孩子的成果不抱负，其实这正是有关专家早就预料到的，新课程改使孩子的两极分化越来越明显。当你看到孩子的成果时，不知你有没有想过你为孩子在学习上付出了多少心血，当然，现在并不是一味地看分数，他们更关注的是孩子的力量，注意孩子的全面进展。
英语学习要多读多说，有的家长总说孩子在家不愿读书不愿学习，反映的家长许多，教育孩子也是要有手段，有方法的，要有肯定的`奖罚制度，培育孩子乐观的、健康的成长。这就是说，家长要给同学布置好任务，达不到某个标准的时候，肯定要有所限制，要惩处，这个惩处肯定要剥夺他最喜爱的事情，这个时候不能心疼孩子。但是他达到这个标准之后，你就得嘉奖他最喜爱的事情。孩子通过这样的调整，渐渐地就习惯了。习惯培育的神秘，可以总结出一句话：培育好习惯用加法，改正坏习惯用减法。
有些英语题目孩子不懂，家长要急躁地解释题目的意思，鼓舞孩子不懂就问。但是家长最好不要直接把答案告知他，我想只要你把题目解释清晰，孩子是能够自己解答的。我发觉成果不够抱负的孩子，往往依靠性比较强，不愿独立思索，课堂上要么等着老师讲解，要么转来转去偷看。这几个同学在家里做作业也确定很拖拉。家长要留意正确引导。
另外学习英语，听力也很重要，在家也要养成多听英语的习惯，比如，每天几分钟听听录音跟读一下课文和单词，或者晚上洗漱早晨起床时打开听力材料，无关孩子听不听，只要家里有一种学习英语的气氛便可培育孩子的语感。
还有一种状况是同学上课表现很不错，但就是考不着分数，面对这样的孩子，家长切忌急躁，和孩子一起心平气和的找一下缘由，是上课学的浮躁学得快忘得快，还是平常练习的少做题时缺少变通，总而言之，其实还是学得不够扎实。
家长对孩子拿回家的单元检测卷不要只看分数，有时卷子难一点，可能大家都考得不好，要仔细检查，关心找问题，关心孩子弄懂，督促孩子养成良好的学习英语的习惯。
我特别理解做父母的心情。我们白天工作，晚上要担负起教育孩子的责任。好多家长晚上还有许多工作要做，特别辛苦。但是，大家再怎么忙，也不会遗忘对孩子的教育和辅导。看到孩子一点点地长大，一点点地进步，内心是特别快乐的。
