All the celebrations welcoming the new century were hold in the year20__, because life without a greeting is like the sky without the sun.Greetingsare very important for the whole world,in my opinion.
But I don't know whether greetings are enough for us.Especially when wemeet with failures .I remember quite clearly that when I was a child,if I falldown and was on the brink of crying,my father always told me"Please stand upfrom where you fall down!"
Yes,we must stand up from where we fall down.
That was a special mid night in 1993.E_pectations filled our hearts.
We stared at the TV,hoping e_citedly as the voice would fly to ourears.
But at last,each Chinese who loves our motherland was distressed to knowthe result:Beijing ,lost to Sydeny by a margin of two votes in the Olympichosting competition.
Eight years have past,but the frustration has not healed with time atall.
Now,at the begining of the new millennium,all of the pride anddisappointment of the 20th century had gone with the wind. The 21stcentury,which is full of hope,longing znd thought has come. Someone said,wewould start from zero on.
Should I really start from zero on?
No!I hold that we should go on with our efferts and ambitions stayed bylast century,and make our life better.
"New Beijing,Great Olympics!" The voice cries this out around China'scaptital,a 3,000 -year-old city these days.
Beijing,along with Paris,Istanbul,Osake and Toronto,has been shortlisted bythe International Olympic Committee as an official candidate city for the 20__Olympic Games.
This is Beijing's second attempt to host the games.
Everyone fully supports Beijing's bid for it.
Maybe,we can paint fences along the main roads of Beijing.
Maybe,we can make much of yhe city cleaned up.
Maybe,we can learn and speak basic English idioms and e_pressions for dailycommunication.
But,but are they just enough?
Facing the new century,mankind is driven by the revolution of science andtechnoiogy,world economy is undergoing broud and profound changes. But nobodycan deny the fact that compared with developed nations,developing countries areconfronted with more pressure and challenges.In order to become famous in theworld,we must speed up our international economic restructuring to catch up withindustrialized nations.
Supporting Beijing's bid is a systematic project that can supportChina'sdevelopment efforts.
I believe recycled paper,clean fuel,sorted rubbish,water-saving andenery-efficient facilities will become reality in the coming years forChina.
I believe the new century is an era of learning ans teaching,and lifelongeducation has become one of the main trends in the future developmet of Chinesesociety.
I believe that,on July 13,our dream of Beijing's Olympic bid will becometrue.
Because to millions of Chinese,for China to have the gloal respect andsupport that she deserves is not just a dream.
It is a part of our very souls.For we are not only equal members of ourmotherland, China,but we are also equal contributors to the world as a whole.Let us stand together,all nations in Beijing,in brotherhood,friendship andpeace, in 20__ and forever!

大家好，这天，我演讲的题目是：只有勤奋才能成就人生。
中国有句俗话，叫做“一勤天下无难事”。唐朝文学大家韩愈就曾说过：“业精于勤，荒于嬉。”也就是说，学业方面的精深造诣来源于勤奋好学。唯有勤奋者，才能在无边的知识海洋里猎取到真智实才，才能不断的开拓知识领域，获得知识的报酬，武装自己的头脑。
勤奋，是扣开成功人生的敲门砖。
我们无法验证这个故事的真实性，就算是假的，我想这个编故事的人也无非想告诉我们这样一个道理：没有人能只依靠天分成功，上帝给予了人天分，人依靠勤奋而将天分变为天才！记得一位哲人以前说过：“世界上能登上金字塔的生物只有两种，一种是鹰，一种是蜗牛。”不管是天资奇佳的鹰，还是资质平庸的蜗牛，能登上塔尖，极目四望，精鹜八极，都离不开两个字——勤奋！
勤出成果。马克思写《资本论》，辛勤劳作，艰苦奋斗了四十年，阅读了数量惊人的书籍和刊物，其中做过笔记的就有一千五百种以上；我国史学思想界的 勤出智慧。传说古希腊有个叫德摩斯梯尼的演说家，因小时口吃，登台演讲时，声音浑浊，发音不准，常常被雄辩的对手压倒。但他并不灰心，为了克服这个弱点，他便每一天口含石子，面向大海朗诵。不管春夏秋冬，五十年如一日。最终，他成为了全希腊最有名气的演说家。我过宋代学者朱熹也讲过这样一个故事：福州有个叫陈正之的人，一篇小文章也要读上一两百遍才能读熟，但他不懒不怠，勤学苦练，知识与日俱增，之后最后“无书不读”，成为博学之士。这就应证了一个道理——勤能补拙。
勤人登山易，懒人伸指难，天下没有免费的午餐，天下也亦没有掉馅饼的事。庸庸碌碌的人，永远只能对别人胜利的果实垂涎欲滴，而自己却尝不到果实的味道；很多人读完莫泊桑的`《项链》之后都会认为玛蒂尔德爱慕虚荣，追求享受，而我则更看中于他能勇敢应对打击，用辛勤的劳动来证明自己的清白，她是值得尊重的。她也用巨大的代价告诉我们——勤劳才是立身之本！
默默耕耘，用心付出，这样的人生，才是“勤劳的一生”。
坦然应对，在过程中付出汗水和心血，那么我们就能够自豪的交给人生一份满意的答卷。

尊敬的领导、亲爱的朋友们：
大家好。
我是来自群众路线教育实践活动办公室的霍文芳。是一个刚刚参加工作的退伍士兵。能够站在这里，感觉主要是领导的厚爱和大家的鼓励，感谢办事处给了我们一个这么好的平台。那么就让我把这次演讲作为礼物献给曾经奉献了青春，当下拥有青春的济水建设者们。
今天我演讲的题目是《青春，在路上》。青春是什么?有人说青春就是初绽的鲜花，用娇艳的花蕾装扮人生的旅途;有人说青春是美妙的旋律，用跳跃的音符谱写人生的华章;还有人说青春是翱翔的雄鹰，用矫健的翅膀搏击广阔的苍穹，我说，青春是热血沸腾，是激情澎湃，是建设幸福新济水的正能量!
记得我刚刚走进军营的时候，因为身体素质的原因，使我不能很快的适应部队训练，所以有过很多次的哭鼻子抹眼泪，甚至产生了消极训练的思想。有一天我的班长告诉我：既然我们当初决定穿上这身橄榄绿踏上开往部队的列车，就一定要承担起身上的责任，虽然现在你军事技能差了点，但班长我相信，只要勤奋努力坚持不懈，能力自然就会提高。跟班长这番谈话让我明白了作为一名中国武警要有着永不言败的精神!要肩负起“对国家，对党，对人民负责”的最高使命，肩扛着这种责任慢慢的的我就开始了更为刻苦的训练，很快，我的军事技能便在连队中名列前茅。并且在第二年的时候当上了班长。工作也得到了领导们的一致好评。
退伍后，带着部队给予的优良作风和对工作的憧憬与豪情我加入了一支非常优秀的队伍—济水街道办事处。我立志要在新的岗位上，为济水贡献我自己的力量。但随着工作的推进，我开始对每日三次的整理内务，面对电脑枯燥无聊的汇总表格、拿起话机一个个的会议电话通知、收交上报材料、设计海报板面，日日加班的日子产生了厌倦的情绪，我问自己难道这就是我所憧憬的工作吗?这就是我美好青春的价值吗?坐在电脑前敲击着键盘，耳边又想起了那嘹亮的“一二一”的呼号声，我还是昔日那个训练女兵的霍班长吗?还是那个队列会操中的英姿飒爽的指挥员吗?还是那个在训练场上流血流汗不流泪，掉皮掉肉不掉队的潇洒女兵吗?我想念在那片绿色土地上挥洒汗水，辛勤奋斗的我，我想念那个每天充满正能量的我。可现如今呢，工作巨大的反差让我迷茫，让我恐惧，让我失落，让我困惑，甚至于我想放下手中的武器，缴械投降。不，我不想这样，我不能这样!想想济水能够在三年的时间里创造了，财政收入翻了两番，高层建筑达100栋，新增商业面积100万平方米，新增就业岗位一万个的辉煌!是什么让济水迸发出这么强劲的活力?在这三个月的学习工作中，我渐渐的找到了答案，在这里我看到的是“领导班子表率示范，中层干部模范带头，工作同事默默奉献”。我会发现他们良好的工作作风不仅体现在规章制度中，而更多的是实实在在表现在每个人对工作默默无闻的奉献中。正是这样一支敢于承担责任、敢闯敢拼的优秀队伍创造了如今的幸福新济水。
从她们身上我看到的了饱满的激情，十足的干劲，朝气蓬勃的活力和无私的奉献。我呢，为什么要退缩呢?我告诉自己军人就要永不言败，青春就要热血沸腾，我也想像她们一样为济水的建设添砖加瓦。
整理好心情，我又重新出发。如今的道路上我充满了正能量，干起工作也有了一定的方式方法，工作效率和质量也得到了很大的提高。我如久旱的小草碰到甘露般汲取着知识，收获着经验。慢慢的工作也由最初的举步维艰变得得心应手。三个月的工作经历让我明白了办事处的工作虽然平凡，琐碎而又繁杂，但我相信，努力拼搏，敢于担当，乐于奉献的精神可以让平凡的岗位熠熠生辉，立足于本职工作，脚踏实地，勤勤恳恳，可以让济水喜欢我，离不开我。
最后，我要告诉大家一个梦想;今天，济水是16个镇办的一颗明珠，明天，当她以更加夺目的光彩展现在大家面前时，我希望能够自豪的说：这，就是青春的气质;这，就是青春的担当;这，就是青春的本色;这，就是青春奋斗的方向!
