first i'd like you to think about the question: do you become a teacher by chance? that's what happened to me! english was my favorite subject when i was a middle school student. i felt so cool when i won the first prize of nepcs in 1997. after that everyone said to me:“hey,why not become an english teacher?” so i did!actually, i liked teaching very soon. i like teaching and learning with the children. sometimes they are my students; sometimes they are my younger brothers or sisters. sometimes they are even my fans because i can sing many pop songs in the class! but i have to say: to be an english teacher is not easy. why? teacher-centered controls, threats make no sense to students now! no one can be forced to learn without a desire to learn! i am so eager to find out a good way. but what are they? nowadays, the use of tasks is commonplace. but i as well as other teachers is wondering: my syllabus is based on an old-fashioned textbook and is also exam-driven. how do i structure lessons by using tasks? should i tell my students: “today your task is to listen to me" or “your task is to finish part a on page 5".everything is unchanged, isn't it?what makes task? a unit of grammar? no! a collection of lexical items? no! after a long time study, i begin to know that task is a means of learning the language by its real use! now, i'd like to give an actual example for you. that is unit 5 from book 3 i had this lesson in the internet-equipped classroom. each student has a computer .the target language includes shall, let's do, writing letters.word competition and on-_line exercise are the pre-tasks. next, three during-tasks. task 1:group-work. discuss a plan about where to go during the national day, practise the target language: shall. task 2. go to a teenager website to make foreign pen friends by the e-mail. task 3: write a letter to the students of our school to call on them to donate to project of hope the post task comes last, ss read english news about wangpeng who lost his life in a hostage crisis in pakistan, and write to annan the u.n head to call for peace as you see, in this class, task-based method creates a student-centered learning environment and information technology plays an important part.we should try to be as flexible as possible in choosing the teaching techniques.now, dear friends, i would like you to think about our own task. what makes a good english teacher? just years of little sleep, over-work? just like the candle that burns out to help others? no! we should develop ourselves, both professionally and personally. most importantly, we should love our students. in my heart, my students are the most powerful striving for me to work harder. i love my students! i love teaching!before finishing my speech, i would like to say: to be an english teacher is the best choice in my life. i shall do all i can to be a good english teacher!that's all. thanks for your attention!

It is human nature that all of us should be fond of beauty. Everybody was born with a heart for beauty.
Today in China,with the rising of our living standard, people's requirement of beauty has been heightened accordingly. Some people spare no money or energy on beautiful clothes, fashionable hair styles,the decoration of their houses and even the improvement of their looks. But it seems to me,all these are more or less confined to the beauty in appearance,or rather,the outward beauty.
In my opinion,we shouldn't only pay attention to beautiful appearance and neglect the beautification of the mind and what we are after should be the perfect unity of the outward beauty and the inner beauty. As we all know,so far as objects and animals are concerned,there is only beautiful appearance to be mentioned, but to us humanbeings, although the outward beauty really matters, the inner beauty is much more important. This was confirmed by a famous Russian writer in words much like this: "A person is not lovely for being beautiful but beautiful for being lovely. "
Here, I'd like to quote two typical instances and I'm sure, my dear friends,from them you'll find out what real beauty is.
Recently I learned from the radio an unpleasant incident about a well known singer. She is very charming with a sweet beautiful voice and very famous for singing the song."Devotion of Love". Not long ago,she was invited to Zhejiang Province to give performance. The momentshe was to appear on the stage,she suddenly asked for more reward. Worse still,after her request was satisfied, she didn't begin to sing at once. Instead,she took her time to count all the money piece by piece. Thus she kept the audience waiting for half an hour. So when she at last showed up and started to sing "Devotion of Love",a man rose up from his seat and shouted at her,"You don't have any devotion of love. You are not qualified to sing this song ! "Hearing this, the singer stopped singing and began to shout abuses with her finger pointed at the man. At this time the whole audience burst into an uproar.
How disappointed her keen listeners were when they learned this! It is the singer herself who spoiled her beautiful image in the eyes of others.
Now, I'm coming to another true story. It's about a poor, ordinary looking old woman. She was a widow without any children, living barely from hand to mouth by picking odds and ends from rubbish heaps. However,she took in more than ten homeless orphans successively and managed to bring them up. Every day she labored from morning till night. In order to earn as much money as possible to raise the children and to keep them in school,she even went to a hospital regularly to sell her blood. She got so weak for the loss of blood that she sometimes fell in a faint on her way home.
When asked why she chose to burden herself with so many children,she smiled and simply answered,"Oh,I love children and I like to have their company. "
Though the old woman was poor materially, she was full of affection and rich in spirit. She was loved dearly by her children. She was also highly appreciated by the local government, and truly respected by people in her community.
Maybe you can't help wondering, "What makes that ordinary woman so extraordinary?" It is nothing else but her inner beauty, her true devotion of love without any thought of rewarding. What a sharp contrast there is between the great woman and the selfish singer
So,to answer the question "What is real beauty?", I declare definitely,it is the beauty lying in one's heart of hearts and embodied in his actions and deeds,that is,the inner heauty!

Oneday My parterner illed ,so he did not keep me company to the class .so I was alone . but we had a conversation ,I could do nothing but to read it myself ,by that time ,you asked me to make the conversation with the girl who Is behind me .and you told me that a boy should be more i….what you said give me a deep impression and I know the next time what I supposed to do .
what I want to talk is more than what I have talked .
the class you taught Is called “spoken english ”.this is a pratical class. Many people interested in it and decide to learn it .as it is know to all ,almost of us have a poor spoken level. So it is hard for you to encourage us to practice our spoken English . however ,you told us that all of us should make at least a speech at the end of the semester in the first class. Besides, we also have to make several conversations with our parterner. Though some students were disagree with you ,but in my view, you have made a wise decision.
In our class , first ,we will have enough time for our speech. In general, every class we would have four classmates to give us their speech. of course ,some speech is pretty good ,the student could make his idea clear and prounouce well. But most of the speech is just so so. but you inspired us everytime.
Second ,we will learn some useful sentence for our spoken english , we usually have a conversation in this part. Third ,we will watch a video. Sometimes , we will have a short story which is meaningful in the blackboard ,then you will help us to learn something from it . every week , I was very glad to have your class for the sake of you charming .
In here , I want to tell you that you have done a good job to us ,I am proud of you . in fact ,most teachers in your position are just complish their job ,you will get a good grade no matter how you really learn in his or her class . however ,in my mind ,you are different .first and formost, you are responsible to your class .that is to say , you try your best to help us improve our spoken English . and you always prepared for the class .so we could learn something new in your class ,this is the reason why I am so interest in this class. Then ,you were a wise men for you know a lot .in your class ,we not barely learn English ,but we also learn something else . for example ,we would know the custome in other country or something about Chinese history .last but not least , you are kind and patience .
