Mother's DayMother’s Day is a holiday when children honor their mothers with cards, gifts and flowers.
One of the best ways to celebrate Mother’s Day is to give your mom the day off. Let her relax with the rest of the family doing all the housework. Usually, dad and the kids will let mom sleep late that morning as they go into the kitchen to prepare her favourite breakfast. Never forget to place a vase with a single flower on the table beside the food. The kids can pick up the flower from the garden or buy one from the shop. Arrange everything nicely before mom wakes up.
Some families will carry the food and mom’s favourite sections from the newspaper to her bedroom so that mom can have breakfast in bed. Presents and cards from the kids can be handed to mom by themselves or just placed on the dining table.
After breakfast, go anywhere mom likes to go. Shopping, swimming or going on a picnic in the garden. Make a special Mother’s Day dinner or take mom out for a great meal in a famous restaurant she loves most.

大家早上好，今天我讲话的题目是《爱父母，表孝心》
同学们，昨天是什么节日?(母亲节)对，是母亲节。那不知道大家都为我们的父母做了什么呢?
最近学校领导和老师总是在提倡我们要孝敬父母，要帮父母做一些力所能及的事情。
说实话，在刚一开始，老师让我们在家中帮父母承担一两项家务的时候，我总是不情愿的去干，有时还撅嘴，但现在我和以前完全不同了，就是从那次开《孝敬父母实践活动》以后，校长的一番话，使我感受很深。
校长说："这个孝字，上面是老的上部分，下面是子，也就是老子，我们做儿女的，孝敬父母，那是天经地义的。'这就话让我想了很多，我们做儿女的孝敬我们的父母就是天经地义的，就是我们的义务，和责任。母亲怀胎九月，把我们生下来，再把我们养大是多么不容易呀!再想想父亲的.辛苦。我的父亲是个司机，每天起早贪黑的，有时还要开上十几个小时的车，担着很大的风险，每天给我们在外挣钱，供我们吃，穿，用，爸爸是多么不容易呀!再想一想我们运动会的时候，总是比着买，他买50元钱的，我买70元钱的，他买80元钱的，我买100元钱的。可是我们光想着自己风光了，却没想一想我们父母的不容易，我的爸爸每天挣120元钱，妈妈每天挣80元钱的。我们运动会的时候甚至比他们一天挣得钱还多，可是父母还是心甘情愿的给我们买，父母对我们这么好我们又有什么理由不孝敬父母呢?
校长还举了一个例子，就是古代有名的孝子刘恒亲尝汤药的故事：他的母亲一病就是三年，他每天都守在母亲身边，亲自喂母亲吃药，每次都是自己尝好了，在喂母亲吃。这是多么的孝敬啊!我们也要向他学习，学习他这种对父母的孝敬之心。在这里我要检讨自己，原来在家里什么都不愿意干，干点活就生气，撅嘴。
通过学校给我们开这次大会，教育我们要孝敬父母，我才真的明白了，孝敬父母其实并不难，很简单，从小事，从一点一滴做起，为父母分担忧愁，这就是孝敬。父母生我们养我们，我们有什么理由不孝敬他们呢?连皇帝都能做到，更何况我们呢?
我现在会高高兴兴的真心真意的去做自己力所能及的事，让父母少一分劳累，多一份高兴。
同时我也要告诉大家，我们要知道父母的不容易，拿出我们对父母全部的爱，对父母尽一份孝心吧!
